Worst Rumble in History
This is the Chief here and I have just a quick opinion on what used to be one of the best WWE pay per views to watch, The Royal Rumble. I don’t think there is anyway I could have woke up today with more disappointment than I had this morning after devoting 3 hours of my life to a show that was pure garbage. If you don’t agree, then that’s fine, just know you are most likely a jack ass who clearly knows nothing about wrestling and it’s storied history. The night kicked off with a nice match between Bray Wyatt and the companies most popular Superstars, Daniel Bryan. After that the show was a complete joke. The title match between Randy Orton and John Cena was ok. but very predictable, and the fans in Pittsburgh felt the exact same way. Then, the Rumble itself. Dave Batista, who is 4 years removed from the company walks in one week before the event, jumps in the ring for maybe 10 minutes, and is now going to the main event at WrestleMania 30. What a god damn joke. Another example of how the WWE is heading down an absolutely shitty path. Batista is a former champion who in my opinion had everything handed to him, he is now 45 years old, looked sloppy in the ring and by me saying sloppy I’m giving the man too much credit. He was pure garbage. Instead of pushing a guy like Daniel Bryan, a man who has worked his ass off for years now, let’s hand an over the hill juice head a title shot at WrestleMania 30. The WWE is a lot of hype lately, with very little to back up that hype. For a company who prides itself on listening so intently to their fans, they clearly went right against that last night, as Bryan was not even a participant in the Rumble, and it was won by someone who is as deserving as you or I am to win. In closing, Triple H himself is quoted as saying “the WWE in 2014 is going to be EPIC” So far, the start of 2014 is PATHETIC. Step up your game WWE.
