last month WWE confirmed it would have it’s first all female Royal Rumble which means 30 female superstars prepare to battle it out to secure a title shot at WrestleMania 34.
As well as featuring stars from both Raw and Smackdown we can expect surprise returns from previous WWE female legends. Two of those former WWE competitors allegedly contacted have now been revealed, according to PWInsider.
Michelle McCool, 37, has not wrestled for WWE since 2011. However she has teased a return on social media teasing a match against charlotte flair at wrestlemania. The duo then split and Layla defeated her former partner in a Loser Leaves WWE match at Extreme Rules seven years ago. She then went on to marry the legendary Undertaker in 2012.
She could be joined by former Hardcore champion and two-time women’s title holder Molly Holly. Who quit WWE in 2005 but coaches at The Academy School of Professional Wrestling in Minneapolis.Molly Holly made a one-off appearance in the women’s battle royal at WrestleMania 25.
Although neither have officially been confirmed as part of the Rumble yet, positive talks have taken place and both look likely to walk down the aisle again. We can also expect lots of wwe developmental talent to feature in the royal rumble in order to hit the 30 competitor mark.
speculation is Brewing that a number of newcomers are also set to explode onto the scene at the event, with ex-UFC star Ronda Rousey finally due to make her long-awaited bow in the ring.
