November 18th may very well have been the worst day in the career of Redskins quarterback Alex Smith. That was however, until the news broke today of complications from the surgery on his broken right tibia and fibula.
Smith is dealing with an infection due to the outcome of the surgery on his injury. Smith has been in the hospital since the day the injury happened. The Washington Redskins released a statement today, asking to respect his and his family’s privacy during this tough time.
While it looks like his career in football is all but over, the lingering affects of the game are still there. We wish Alex a speedy recovery and nothing but the best to him and his family in the future.
